About Aphex Twin
British electronic pioneer Richard D. James, known as Aphex Twin, has shaped IDM and ambient techno since the early 1990s with glitch-laden beats, intricate melodies, and experimental sound design. His work blends abrasive rhythms with ethereal textures, earning a reputation for pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Live shows are rare and often treated as events, featuring immersive visual setups and improvisational sets that contrast his studio precision. Fans note his sporadic touring history, with long hiatuses between performances and occasional surprise festival appearances. Currently there are no confirmed tour dates or announced shows. The last documented live performance occurred in 2022, and recent discussion is limited to Reddit speculation about a possible festival slot later in 2026, but no official information confirms any upcoming appearances.
