About Boards of Canada
Scottish electronic duo Boards of Canada have crafted a distinctive sound built on warm analog synths, nostalgic field recordings, and intricate downtempo beats that defined the late-1990s IDM scene. Renowned for their elusive live appearances, the pair have performed only sporadically, with the last known concert occurring in 2001, cementing a reputation for rare, immersive shows that draw dedicated fans. Following the surprise release of their first studio album in 13 years, Inferno, in June 2026, the duo have not announced any tour dates, leaving the community to speculate about a possible return to the stage.
