About Deftones
California-born alt-metal pioneers Deftones blend heavy, downtuned guitars with atmospheric textures and Chino Moreno’s soaring vocals, forging a sound that sits at the crossroads of nu-metal, alternative rock, and post-hardcore since the late-1990s. Renowned for immersive, mood-shifting live shows that oscillate between crushing riffs and ethereal interludes, the band has built a reputation for powerful stagecraft and a devoted fanbase that follows their sporadic touring cycles. The group’s next live outing will open on October 24, 2026, as part of the Sick New World bill in Fort Worth, Texas, before headlining their own Dia De Los Deftones event at Petco Park in San Diego on November 7, 2026.
