About Dilated Peoples

Conscious Rap Hip-Hop

Los Angeles-born underground hip-hop collective Dilated Peoples forged a boom-bap sound in the early 2000s, blending crisp lyricism with jazzy samples and a gritty West Coast vibe. Their debut era cemented them as pillars of conscious rap, delivering tight verses over head-nodding beats. Renowned for energetic live shows, the group commands tight chemistry on stage, often delivering extended freestyles and crowd-engaging hooks. Periodic hiatuses have punctuated their career, yet each return has been met with enthusiastic underground audiences. The group will kick off a two-date West Coast headline tour on Oct 28, 2026 at The Belasco in Los Angeles, followed by Oct 29, 2026 at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The brief run marks the start of a concise U.S. tour, with no further dates announced.
