About Dinosaur Jr.

Alternative Rock

Seattle-originated alt-rock trio Dinosaur Jr. forged a loud, guitar-driven sound in the late-80s, blending fuzzy distortion, melodic solos and J Mascis’s drawling vocals. Their blend of punk energy and classic rock riffage helped define the early alternative scene. Renowned for high-volume, emotionally raw live shows, the band has built a reputation for marathon performances that capture their gritty studio vibe, often drawing devoted fans across generations. The group is on tour, having launched the current North American leg on Oct 9, 2026 in Las Vegas and will travel across the United States and Canada, concluding on Mar 13, 2027 at the House of Blues Boston.
