About Green Day

Punk

California punk rock veterans Green Day have defined modern pop-punk since the mid-1990s, blending fast-driven guitars, melodic hooks, and politically charged lyrics that capture youthful rebellion. Renowned for high-energy stadium shows and marathon tours, the trio built a reputation for raucous crowds, sing-along choruses, and a willingness to tackle social issues on stage, while occasionally taking extended breaks between album cycles. At present the band is not touring and has announced no live dates; instead they are promoting the Nimrods soundtrack and accompanying comedy film, which premiered on August 14, 2026, after the soundtrack’s July 31, 2026 release.
