About Rancid
California-born punk veterans Rancid emerged in the early-1990s, blending street-wise lyrics with fast-paced, three-chord aggression and a touch of ska-inflected rhythm that defined the era’s skate-punk sound. Their recordings feature gritty vocals, tight bass lines, and dual-guitar attacks that remain hallmarks of modern punk rock. Rancid’s live shows are renowned for high-energy performances, mosh-friendly pits, and a reputation for delivering raw, unapologetic sets that often spark spontaneous sing-alongs.
