About Sigur Rós
Icelandic post-rock collective known for expansive, atmospheric soundscapes built on bowed guitars, falsetto vocals, and minimalist arrangements. Emerging in the early 2000s, they helped define the ambient-rock movement with lush, cinematic compositions. Their concerts are celebrated for immersive audiovisual experiences, often featuring live orchestras and striking light shows that transform venues into ethereal spaces. Audiences expect lengthy, emotionally resonant performances that blend rock instrumentation with orchestral textures. The group’s most recent live activity concluded with a series of orchestral dates across Europe, ending at the Auditori del Fòrum in Barcelona on September 11, 2026. No further shows have been announced, and the band is not currently on tour.
