About Simply Red

Pop Rock

British soul-pop outfit Simply Red emerged in the mid-1980s, blending smooth vocal stylings with polished pop-rock arrangements. Fronted by Mick Hucknall, the band is known for its blue-eyed soul voice, brass-rich hooks, and a catalog that straddles adult contemporary and dance-floor sensibilities. The group has built a reputation for polished, sing-along live performances that emphasize Hucknall’s emotive delivery and tight rhythm sections, often drawing multigenerational audiences. After a series of hiatuses, they have periodically returned to the stage for arena-sized tours. The upcoming European tour will open on June 19, 2027 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam and will travel through Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom, concluding at Newmarket Racecourses on August 22, 2027.
