About Steve Lacy

Neo-Soul Funk

Genre-blending R&B virtuoso Steve Lacy fuses lo-fi guitar textures, funk-infused grooves, and soulful vocal harmonies into a modern neo-soul sound that has defined the mid-2020s indie-R&B scene. His recordings balance crisp production with a laid-back vibe, drawing from his Grammy-winning background while pushing into experimental pop territories. Live, Lacy is praised for tight, groove-centric performances that blend polished musicianship with spontaneous improvisation, creating intimate yet energetic shows that resonate with both critics and fans. He is on the road this fall, having played Oct 13, 2026 at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston and slated to appear next at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden on Oct 15, 2026, followed by a series of headline dates across the United States and Canada through Nov 30, 2026, plus a confirmed slot at Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in Los Angeles in November.
