About System Of A Down
Armenian-American metal outfit System of a Down blends aggressive nu-metal riffs, unconventional time signatures, and politically charged lyrics, emerging in the early 2000s as a defining voice of alternative metal. Renowned for explosive live shows that fuse raw intensity with theatrical flair, the band’s concerts have become legendary, though they have periodically retreated into extended hiatuses between releases. The group has officially announced a 2027 stadium tour of Australia and New Zealand with Faith No More, followed by a one-off concert at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã in January 2027, and will appear at the Sick New World festival on October 24, 2026.
