About The Afghan Whigs
Cincinnati-born alt-rock veterans The Afghan Whigs blend gritty soul-infused guitar with brooding vocals, emerging in the early ’90s as a key part of the alternative rock wave. Renowned for intense, emotionally charged live shows that fuse raw energy with polished musicianship, the band has built a reputation for delivering powerful performances that often revisit their classic catalog. The group’s current fall 2026 tour opened Sep 19, 2026 in Leeds, traversed the United Kingdom and Belgium, and is slated to conclude Nov 21, 2026 in Austin after a series of nine headline dates across the United States.
