About The Police
English rock trio The Police emerged in the late 1970s, blending new-wave edge with reggae-inflected rhythms and crisp, melodic guitar work. Their catalog of tight, hook-laden songs defined a generation of post-punk pop-rock. Known for razor-sharp live chemistry, the band built a reputation for energetic, tightly rehearsed shows that highlighted Sting’s charismatic vocals and the rhythmic interplay of Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland. The Police have no confirmed tour dates at this time, and recent Reddit chatter about a possible 2026 South America and North America run remains unverified.
