About West 22nd
Midwestern folk-rock collective West 22nd weaves acoustic storytelling with layered harmonies, drawing on traditional folk roots and contemporary indie-folk sensibilities. Their sound balances earnest lyricism with bright, twangy guitars, echoing the earnestness of early-2000s folk revival while maintaining a modern edge. The band has built a reputation for intimate, high-energy house-show performances that emphasize vocal interplay and audience connection, often selling out modest venues before moving to larger clubs. Periodic hiatuses have punctuated their career, but each return has been met with enthusiastic fan anticipation. West 22nd will launch a twelve-date headline tour beginning Oct 29, 2026 in Nashville and spanning major markets such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Madison, Toronto, New York, Boston and Washington, before concluding in late November. The band is also slated to appear with the High Water production on Apr 18, 2027 in North Charleston.
