Immortal

Norwegian black metal stalwarts Immortal have forged a relentless, frost-bitten sound since the early 1990s, blending tremolo-driven riffs, blast-beat drumming, and icy atmospheres that define the second wave of black metal. Their recordings are marked by epic, war-themed lyrics and a production style that balances raw aggression with melodic hooks. Live, Immortal are famed for ferocious, high-energy performances that often feature theatrical stage props and a wall of sound, earning them a reputation as one of the genre’s most intense concert acts. Periodic hiatuses have punctuated their career, but each return has been met with fervent fan anticipation. The band is not currently touring and has no announced dates. In September 2026 they released the EP “Afterglow” and premiered the video for “Something, Somewhere,” marking the latest wave of new material from the group.
