About Parquet Courts
Brooklyn-based indie rock quartet Parquet Courts emerged in the early 2010s, blending sharp post-punk angularity with lo-fi garage riffs and witty lyricism. Their sound, rooted in the New York punk tradition, features jittery guitars, driving basslines, and a vocal delivery that oscillates between deadpan and urgent. Renowned for tight, high-energy sets, the band’s live shows are noted for their raw intensity and spontaneous setlists, often turning small clubs into raucous gatherings. Though they have taken periodic hiatuses, each return has been met with enthusiastic crowds. As of 2026 the group has not announced any forthcoming concerts and remains inactive, with no confirmed tour dates on ticketing platforms or in recent press.
