About Primus
Idiosyncratic California trio Primus blends quirky bass-driven funk with off-kilter progressive rock, carving a niche since the early-90s with their eccentric, genre-bending sound. Known for theatrical, high-energy performances that swing between tight musicianship and chaotic improvisation, the band has built a reputation for unforgettable live shows that often feature bizarre costumes and surreal stage antics. Primus will kick off a two-night headline run at the Fox Theater in Oakland on Dec 30 and Dec 31, 2026, before joining Queens of the Stone Age as a supporting act on Dec 8, 11 and 20, 2026 across Australia and New Zealand, marking the first confirmed dates of their upcoming tour cycle.
