About shame
London post-punk outfit Shame emerged in the mid-2010s, blending sharp, angular guitars with urgent vocal delivery that channels classic Brit-rock intensity. Their debut album established a reputation for tight, socially-charged songwriting and a sound that sits between indie rock and post-punk revival. Known for kinetic live shows, the group builds tension with tight rhythms and front-man Charlie Steen’s confrontational stage presence, earning a reputation as a must-see act on the UK festival circuit. A July 2025 Reddit thread suggested a North American tour for 2026, yet no official confirmation has emerged.
