Ween

Eclectic American band Ween blends rock, psychedelia, and humor, forging a genre-defying sound that shifts from lo-fi pop to avant-garde noise. Emerging in the early ’90s, they built a cult following with absurd lyrics and inventive studio experiments. Live shows have earned a reputation for wild improvisation, surprise setlists, and marathon performances that often veer into spontaneous jam sessions. The group has taken extended breaks between tours, returning sporadically to the stage to delight dedicated fans. As of 2026 the group is not touring and has turned attention to archival releases. A 30th-anniversary deluxe edition of the 1996 album ‘12 Golden Country Greats’ arrived in May, followed by the ‘Golden Wastes’ EP and the archival track ‘Boston Chicken’ in June and August.
